400 kV Project Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager to join a growing Power & Grid delivery team working on a major energy infrastructure project in the East Midlands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end delivery of high-voltage substation and grid connection works, ensuring projects are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of HV substation projects up to 400kV.
• Manage project programmes, budgets and resource plans.
• Coordinate design, procurement and construction activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Manage subcontractors, suppliers and key stakeholders.
• Produce project reports and provide regular updates to senior management and clients.
• Drive performance against programme, quality and commercial objectives.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering HV transmission and distribution projects.
• Strong background in substation construction and electrical infrastructure.
• Experience working on projects up to 400kV desirable.
• Knowledge of National Grid and/or DNO standards.
• Excellent stakeholder and client management skills.
• Commercial awareness with experience managing project budgets.
• Relevant engineering qualification preferred.
• SMSTS and other industry certifications advantageous.
