About the role
Accountant — Consulting (12-Month Project) | Hybrid – Kirkland, WA$40–50/hour DOE
SumBridge is hiring an Accountant for a long-term consulting engagement with a well-established manufacturing company in Kirkland, WA. This is a 12-month project with the possibility of extension, working on a hybrid schedule.
This role will support regular accounting activities within the General Ledger group. This person will handle a variety of tasks including monthly close work, fixed asset tracking, and reconciliation work. This is a good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on GL work in a production environment and who wants to gain experience with a growing manufacturing company.
What you'll do
- Prepare and post month-end and year-end close journal entries
- Perform account reconciliations, including GL, bank, and grouped multi-account reconciliations
- Support capital request account setup and fixed asset tracking
- Assist with capitalizing assets and CIP projects, physical inventory counts, and recording asset disposals
- Support inventory-related reconciliations and reporting
- Provide audit support documentation as requested
What you bring
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field such as business or finance
- 5+ years of accounting experience in a corporate environment
- Proficiency in accounting software (oracle, dynamics, SAP etc) and strong Excel skills
- Solid understanding of GAAP, accounting principles, and applicable regulations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and the ability to partner across departments
Compensation and benefits$40–50 per hour, depending on experience. Consultants on this assignment are eligible for medical benefits, paid time off, and holiday pay for the duration of the engagement.
Additional requirementsThis position supports work performed under federal contracts. Employment is contingent on successfully passing a criminal background check and a drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana.
