Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a growing commercial team delivering high-quality painting and decorating contracts across a range of sectors including social housing, public sector, and commercial projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially aware QS who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a strong background in managing painting works, from pre-construction through to final account.

Key Responsibilities

• Managing the commercial aspects of multiple painting and decorating projects
• Preparation of cost estimates, budgets, and tenders
• Monitoring project costs, value, and variations
• Producing valuations, applications for payment, and final accounts
• Managing subcontractor procurement, payments, and performance
• Ensuring projects are delivered profitably and in line with contractual obligations
• Supporting operational teams with commercial advice and reporting
• Building strong relationships with clients and stakeholders

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor
• Essential: Strong background in painting and decorating or refurbishment contracts
• Good knowledge of JCT/NEC forms of contract
• Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills
• Strong analytical and financial management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting tools
• Full UK driving licence
