School Cleaner - Bury St Edmunds

Location: Bury St Edmunds | Pay: £13.50 per hour | Hours: Mon-Fri, 4 PM - 6 PM

Randstad Education is currently recruiting 2x School Cleaners for our client in Bury St Edmunds.

We are looking for reliable, hardworking, and attentive individuals to join the our client's premises team. This position offers consistent late-afternoon hours, perfect for fitting around other commitments or local candidates looking for extra income.

Key Responsibilities:

• General Cleaning: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and buff floors across classrooms, corridors, and communal spaces.
• Hygiene & Disinfection: Clean, disinfect, and sanitise toilets, washbasins, and high-touch areas (door handles, handrails, light switches).
• Surface Care: Wipe, dust, and polish desks, tables, ledges, and internal glass.
• Waste Management: Empty rubbish and recycling bins daily, disposing of waste in designated areas.
• COSHH Compliance: Store all cleaning chemicals securely and maintain safe working practices on site.

Key Requirements:

• Experience: Previous commercial, office, or school cleaning experience is preferred (full training provided).
• Attributes: Highly reliable, punctual, trustworthy, and able to work independently.
• Attention to Detail: Commitment to maintaining excellent hygiene standards across the area.
• Safeguarding: An Enhanced DBS check (on the Update Service preferred) is essential due to working within an educational setting.
