Key Responsibilities:

• Functioning collaboratively within a dynamic residential care team to uphold exceptionally high care standards.
• Providing comprehensive 24-hour care to vulnerable young people facing emotional and behavioural challenges.
• Supporting service users through trauma-informed approaches, helping build resilience and emotional regulation.
• Facilitating daily community integration, including assisting young people with school transportation, social outings, and external appointments.
• Maintaining safe, clear, and consistent professional boundaries at all times.
• Upholding full operational adherence to National Care Standards and local safeguarding protocols.
• Maintaining a flexible approach to working patterns across days, waking nights, weekends, and holiday coverage.

Requirements & Qualifications:

• Proven professional background working within a residential setting dedicated to children or young people.
• An adaptable mindset with a genuine commitment to child-centred care principles.
• Excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Full registration with (or willingness to join) the PVG scheme.
• A valid, full UK driving licence is strongly preferred.
• SVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care (Children and Young People), or working towards an equivalent qualification, is highly desirable.
