A leading UK Facilities Management company is seeking an experienced Shift Maintenance Electrician to join their team on a prestigious hospital contract in London.

The Role
As a Shift Maintenance Electrician, you will be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a busy hospital site. You will ensure all electrical and building services systems remain safe, compliant, and fully operational to support essential healthcare services.

Working on a rotating shift pattern, you will be part of a skilled on-site engineering team providing 24/7 support to critical hospital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on electrical systems and plant
- Reactive maintenance, fault finding, and emergency repairs
- Maintenance of lighting, emergency lighting, power distribution, control systems, and associated equipment
- Supporting building services systems including HVAC interfaces and plant rooms
- Ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and site procedures
- Responding to breakdowns in a timely and professional manner
- Completing maintenance records and reporting accurately
- Working collaboratively with the wider engineering team and client representatives

Shift Pattern
4 on / 4 off rotation
12-hour shifts covering both days and nights
Continuous 24/7 shift coverage supporting a critical healthcare site

Requirements
- NVQ / City & Guilds Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Proven experience in commercial electrical maintenance or facilities management
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
- Ability to work effectively on shift within a critical environment
- Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable
- Previous hospital or healthcare environment experience
- Knowledge of HVAC controls or building services integration
- Experience working in critical environments (data centres, banking, etc.)
