About the role
Team Member (Grass Cutting) (Technical)
Working hours Mon-Thu 0730-1600 hrs, Fri 0730-1230 hrs
Job Purpose
To ensure litter free, and well maintained grass areas within all parts of the Borough reaching an agreed standard.
Responsibilities
Grounds Maintenance
- Sweeping, litter removal, clearing of leaves, fly tip and bonfire removal.
- Edging grass verges.
- Use of power tools as directed i.e. strimmers and blowers.
- Mowing as directed using pedestrian and ride-on controlled machinery.
- General driving duties including routine vehicle maintenance/inspection and vehicle cleaning.
Other Duties
- Deal with customer requests for service enquiries/complaints
- Report any defects to Area Officer/Line Manager
- Report any accidents
- Be prepared to work across any team in Environmental services
