Roofing Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced Roofing Supervisor to join their residential construction team in Townsville. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll oversee roofing works, coordinate subcontractors and ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Tasks and Resonsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate roofing works across residential construction projects, ensuring projects stay on schedule.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications, overseeing the installation of roofing, gutters, downpipes, flashings and roof sheeting.
• Inspect completed works to ensure quality, compliance, watertightness and high industry standards.
• Identify and resolve roofing defects, leaks, drainage issues and other on-site problems.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, Construction Managers, suppliers and labourers to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Maintain safe, clean and organised sites while completing accurate documentation and complying with all WHS, building and company requirements.

Skills and Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in roof plumbing or residential roofing.
• Relevant Roof Plumbing trade qualification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of roofing systems, installation and water management.
• Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings and specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and resolve on-site issues.
• Excellent attention to detail with a strong focus on quality workmanship.
• Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with subcontractors and construction teams.
• Strong understanding of WHS requirements and safe working practices, including working at heights.
• Current White Card and Class C Driver’s Licence.
• First Aid Certificate highly regarded.
