Are you a highly experienced practitioner ready to take the next step in your career? We are urgently seeking a dedicated Senior Social Worker to join the fast-paced and dynamic Adult Early Support Team in Manchester.
This is a pivotal role at the "front door" of adult social care. As a senior practitioner, you will not only provide rapid, preventative interventions to maximize independence but also act as a guiding figure within the team, supporting junior colleagues and leading on complex cases.
The Role
Leading on complex, strength-based assessments and rapid interventions to prevent crisis and delay the need for long-term care.
Acting as a point of escalation for complex safeguarding enquiries and multi-agency disputes.
Mentoring, guiding, and supporting junior social workers, newly qualified staff (ASYE), and social care assessors.
Championing best practices in the application of the Care Act 2014 and Mental Capacity Act 2005 across the early support service.
Requirements
Qualifications: A recognized Social Work qualification and active Social Work England (SWE) registration.
Experience: Substantial post-qualifying experience in Adult Social Care, particularly within front-door, triage, or early intervention settings.
Leadership: Demonstrated ability to manage high-level risks, with a proven track record of supporting or mentoring peers.
Mobility: A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for community assessments around Manchester.
