Specialty Trainee - Anaesthetics Night On-Call at Daisy Hill Hospital

Grayscale Medical is recruiting a locum Specialty Trainee (ST3+) in Anaesthetics for a night on-call shift at Daisy Hill Hospital, part of the Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This shift runs from 20:00 on Monday 8th September to 08:30 on Tuesday 9th September 2026.

The assignment rate is £50/hr.

Role Details

You will provide overnight anaesthetic cover at Daisy Hill Hospital, supporting the Surgery and Clinical Services directorate. Duties include providing anaesthetic support for emergency surgical cases, managing the on-call anaesthetic workload, and responding to urgent calls across the hospital including resuscitation and airway management. You will be expected to work as part of the on-call team and liaise with surgical, obstetric, and critical care colleagues as needed.

Daisy Hill Hospital provides a range of acute surgical services and you should be comfortable managing common emergency anaesthetic presentations independently at ST3+ level.

Requirements

• ST3+ level in Anaesthetics or equivalent experience
• Valid GMC registration with licence to practise
• Right to work in the UK
• Up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance
• Professional indemnity insurance
• Minimum 2 professional references
• Competence in emergency anaesthesia, airway management, and resuscitation
