About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and solutions-focused Bubble.io Developer to lead the development and continuous improvement of Swim England's Bubble-based web applications.
You will design, build and maintain scalable, user-friendly applications that support our organisational objectives and the needs of our key audiences. Working closely with colleagues and stakeholders across Swim England, you will translate business requirements into effective digital solutions and act as our go-to expert for Bubble and no-code development.
Key Responsibilities
In this role you will:
- Design, build and deploy scalable web applications using Bubble.io.
- Translate business requirements into functional and user-friendly digital solutions.
- Create and manage complex workflows, databases and user interfaces.
- Integrate third-party services and APIs, including payment, communication and automation platforms.
- Develop responsive applications that work effectively across desktop and mobile devices.
- Troubleshoot application issues, bugs and performance bottlenecks.
- Optimise applications for performance, security and scalability.
- Implement user authentication, permissions and data privacy controls.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle.
- Lead testing, quality assurance and ongoing application maintenance.
- Document application architecture, workflows and technical processes.
Skills and Experience
Essential
- Proven experience developing scalable applications using Bubble.io.
- Expert knowledge of Bubble workflows, database structures and privacy rules.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party services.
- Strong understanding of responsive design and user experience principles.
- Understanding of SaaS platforms and web application architecture.
- Experience working with payment gateways, CRM systems or automation tools.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
Desirable
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- Experience using or developing Bubble plugins.
- Knowledge of version control, Agile methodologies and project management tools.
- Experience developing and implementing search engine optimisation strategies.
- Familiarity with AI integrations, including OpenAI, Azure AI or other machine-learning services.
