The successful applicant will be working with students of various abilities with a focus on supporting students with Literacy work. This would be a great positon for an English graduate who is considering a career in teaching and would like to use the teaching assistant role as a way to gain invaluable hands on experience. The school are looking for a graduate who has an English related Degree and some form of paid or voluntary experience with young people. You may have gained your experience through a number of different avenues. As a teaching assistant, you will be working with students ranging from Year 7 - sixth form with a focus on Literacy support. You will be working with pupils in small groups and on a 1:1 basis. Each academic year this East London secondary school appoint a small number of graduates who are passionate about working with young people and are considering a career in teaching. A high number of these graduates then go on to do their teacher training the following year.
