Forklift Operator

We are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator to join our metal recycling facility. The operator will be responsible for safely operating a counterbalance forklift to move, sort, and load scrap metal. This role requires a strong commitment to safety, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced recycling environment.

Key Responsibilities.

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move metal materials, scrap, stock, containers, and goods around the facility.

• Load and unload deliveries of scrap metal, raw materials, and finished loads from vehicles and containers.

• Stack and position materials safely to maximise yard space and support workflow.

• Assist in sorting and organising materials by type and grade as directed by yard supervisors

• Comply with all Health & Safety regulations and company procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE (hard hat, high-visibility clothing, safety boots).

You don’t need licence as long as you have experience; we offer full support for you to succeed in your role! Shifts for Counterbalance Forklift Operator are 4 days on 4 days off :

• 07:00-19:00 – £13.27 per hour
• 19:00-07:00 -£13.77 per hour
