About the Company Our client is a global renewable energy developer, owner and operator with an expanding portfolio of utility-scale solar PV, battery energy storage systems (BESS) and integrated energy solutions across international markets. As the Australian business continues to grow, they are seeking their first dedicated PPA Manager to play a pivotal role in commercialising a significant pipeline of renewable energy projects. This is a unique opportunity to join a lean, high-performing team and take ownership of offtake strategy and revenue contracting for utility-scale renewable developments across Australia. The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Country Manager, the PPA Manager will lead the origination, negotiation and execution of Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs) and other revenue contracts that support project financing and long-term portfolio growth. Working closely with Development, Project Finance, Legal and senior leadership teams across Australia and internationally, you will play a critical role in securing revenue certainty and improving project bankability for a growing pipeline of solar and battery storage projects. As the first dedicated PPA professional in the Australian business, this role offers significant visibility, autonomy and long-term career growth. Key Responsibilities Lead the origination, structuring and execution of renewable energy PPAs across Australia. Build and maintain relationships with energy retailers, traders, utilities, corporate buyers and other market participants. Develop and execute offtake strategies for utility-scale solar and battery storage projects. Identify and evaluate revenue optimisation opportunities across the project portfolio. Lead commercial negotiations from initial engagement through to contract execution. Collaborate closely with Project Finance teams to ensure revenue structures meet lender and bankability requirements. Support project valuation, financial modelling and revenue forecasting activities. Manage cross-functional stakeholders including Legal, Development, Technical and Finance teams throughout transaction execution. Monitor trends within the Australian electricity market, renewable energy sector and PPA landscape. Develop and maintain a strong network of potential offtakers and commercial counterparties. Requirements 5-10 years of professional experience within renewable energy, energy markets, utilities, power trading or infrastructure. Minimum 3 years of direct experience negotiating, structuring or managing PPAs and energy offtake agreements. Strong understanding of the Australian National Electricity Market (NEM). Experience working within an energy retailer, trading house, renewable energy developer or utility environment. Proven commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of renewable energy project financing and bankability considerations. Experience with solar, BESS and broader energy transition projects is highly desirable. Strong commercial, analytical and relationship-building capabilities. Ability to operate independently within a fast-growing and entrepreneurial business.
