Social Worker (Locum) – Community Adult Social Care
Location: Civic Centre, Uxbridge, London Borough of Hillingdon
Pay rate - £ up to 38 ph 
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Locum Social Worker to join our Community Adult Social Work Team. The successful candidate will manage a complex caseload of adults, including older people and individuals with physical disabilities, undertaking a range of statutory duties and supporting high-quality practice across the service.
 
Key Responsibilities
Manage a caseload within a community adult social work setting.
Undertake Care Act Assessments, reviews and support planning.
Complete Mental Capacity Assessments and Best Interest decision-making.
Lead and contribute to Adult Safeguarding enquiries, including Section 42 investigations.
Undertake Section 117 reviews and contribute to multi-agency planning.
Work collaboratively with health professionals, providers, families and partner agencies.
Promote independence, strengths-based practice and positive outcomes for residents.
 
Essential Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Experience within Adult Social Care.
Sound knowledge of the Care Act 2014, Mental Capacity Act 2005 and safeguarding legislation.
Experience of managing cases and making defensible decisions.
Strong assessment, risk management and care planning skills.
Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary environment.
 
Desirable
Experience of community-based adult social work, hospital discharge and safeguarding services.
