CAD Engineer

We are seeking a skilled CAD Engineer to join a collaborative team responsible for 3D CAD modelling and drawing production. The primary focus will be on updating existing models and drawings based on markups from design engineers. The role involves working predominantly with Bentley MicroStation, OpenBuildings Designer, OpenRoads Designer, and other associated Bentley software, including Bentley ProjectWise as the Common Data Environment (CDE). You will work closely with a team of CAD operators and report to a CAD team lead. The position offers flexible working hours Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour working day excluding lunch, and start/finish times can be varied by agreement. The role is paid up to £50 per hour via Umbrella or £38.56 PAYE.

Key Responsibilities
Update and produce 3D CAD models and technical drawings based on design engineer markups.
Work within Bentley MicroStation, OpenBuildings Designer, OpenRoads Designer, and Bentley ProjectWise CDE.
Collaborate effectively within a team of CAD operators and report progress to the CAD team lead.
Ensure all drawings and models comply with project standards and quality requirements.
Maintain accurate records and manage drawing revisions.
Support design coordination and assist with technical queries as required.
Skills
Experience with Bentley MicroStation
Proficiency in OpenBuildings Designer and OpenRoads Designer
Familiarity with Bentley ProjectWise as a Common Data Environment (CDE)
Strong 3D CAD modelling skills
Ability to update and revise existing CAD models and drawings accurately
Good communication and teamwork skills
Attention to detail and accuracy in drawing production
Ability to work under minimal supervision within a team environment
Time management and organisational skills
No specific formal qualifications required, but relevant software experience is essential
