NRS is seeking a Commercial Manager to join the team and play a key role in supporting the sites decommissioning programme.
This role is a fixed term role to support maternity cover from late September 2026, supporting and maintaining three key commercial systems as well as their interaction with wider business requirements and providing training. It will also
involve line management of two team members.

What Will You Be Doing?
As a Commercial Manager you will manage the suite of commercial systems and provide appropriate advice, analysis, reporting, governance and assurance to members of the Commercial Function on matters related to the systems. This may include topics related to - procurement, contract management, systems management, GCA guidance, UK
Procurement Regulations, Commercial Policies and Procedures.
Youll be responsible for the maintenance, improvement and update of key commercial systems (Atamis, Think Project and Unit 4 BW) across the NRS estate, advising teams on the accurate use of these systems, and so having a good
knowledge of the requirements of PA23/PCR15, supporting reporting activities particularly to consider NRS business plan and procurement pipeline and considering strategy in respect of these procurement systems

Key responsibilities include:
• Providing guidance on the correct use of key commercial systems, including in respect of PA23 where appropriate,
• Ensuring those systems are up to date and reflect required changes in process or procurement law,
• Providing training on systems use,
• Input to strategic activity in respect of the ongoing use of these systems,
• Input to reporting and planning activity as required
• Providing specialist commercial advice and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Line management of 2 team members
• Manage the development and implementation of improvements to commercial systems

Who Are We Looking For?
Were looking for a commercially focused professional with experience managing commercial procurement systems (Atamis, Think Project and Unit 4 BW).
The successful candidate will have strong commercial awareness, systems knowledge and experience in the requirements of PA23/PCR15, as well as the ability to manage competing priorities while delivering value and reducing risk. Previous experience leading teams would be highly advantageous.

To be successful in this role, youll be able to demonstrate:
• A degree in Science, Engineering, Business, or an equivalent qualification combined with relevant commercial experience.
• The successful candidate have an awareness of the following systems as used by the Commercial team across NRS
• Atamis, Think Project (CEMAR) and Unit 4 BW
o Experience in engaging with procurement, contract management and supply chain activities.
o A good knowledge of the requirements of relevant Procurement Regulations (Particularly PA23, but also PCR15)
o Strong stakeholder management skills.
