The Opportunity
We are currently seeking 2 General Practitioners to support an Urgent Treatment Centre (UTC) in South West England.
This is an excellent locum opportunity for experienced GPs with at least 2 years post-CCT experience, working within a busy urgent care environment. The role involves assessing, diagnosing and treating patients presenting with a broad range of urgent, non-life-threatening conditions across all age groups.
You will work alongside an established multidisciplinary team, supporting the delivery of safe, effective and patient-centred urgent care.

What You'll Be Doing
- Provide high-quality clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients attending the UTC.
- Manage a wide variety of urgent but non-emergency presentations.
- Make autonomous, evidence-based decisions for undifferentiated conditions.
- Advise healthcare professionals on appropriate pathways and clinical management.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical records.
- Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care.
- Contribute to service improvement, clinical governance and patient safety initiatives.
Essential Requirements
- Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
- Inclusion on the NHS England Performers List.
- MRCGP or Certificate from the Joint Committee on Postgraduate Training for General Practice.
- Minimum 2 years' post-CCT experience.
- Experience within primary care, out-of-hours, urgent care or emergency care settings.
- Ability to work independently and confidently manage a varied caseload.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Commitment to clinical governance, quality improvement and continuous professional development.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in GP training or clinical supervision.
- Knowledge of local healthcare systems and urgent care pathways.
- Experience leading or supporting service improvement initiatives.
- Understanding of healthcare inequalities and diverse patient populations.
