The Programme

We are currently supporting a potential Clinical Triage & Tier 2 Insourcing Programme, designed to increase clinical capacity and improve patient access within an established NHS referral pathway.

We are seeking experienced Consultant Gynaecologists with expertise in consultant-led clinical triage, Advice & Guidance and/or community or Tier 2 gynaecology services to support a structured clinical insourcing programme focused on improving referral management, patient access and pathway efficiency.

• Programme Duration: Initial 6-month programme, with potential extension
• Engagement: Programme-based clinical sessions
• Payroll: Monthly
• Additional Information: Expression of Interest only – final service model, schedules and mobilisation arrangements to be confirmed

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver consultant-led clinical triage within a structured NHS insourcing service
• Provide Advice & Guidance (A&G) to support primary care referral management
• Develop clinical management plans where appropriate
• Deliver community and Tier 2 gynaecology assessment and treatment within agreed clinical pathways
• Refer patients onwards for diagnostics or secondary care where clinically appropriate
• Work to agreed clinical protocols, governance requirements and pathway standards
• Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, effective patient care
• Maintain accurate clinical records, outcomes and documentation
• Support efficient patient flow and delivery across programme activity

What We're Looking For

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
• Current or recent NHS Consultant practice
• Relevant experience within Gynaecology services
• Experience in consultant-led referral triage, Advice & Guidance and/or community or Tier 2 gynaecology services is highly desirable
• Experience using NHS e-RS, EMIS and/or SystmOne would be advantageous
• Ability to work within structured, session-based delivery models
• Comfortable working to defined clinical pathways, governance processes and service standards
• Strong MDT working, communication and professional standards
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
