Milton Keynes, UK Interaction Recruitment Interaction Engineering  Mechanical Design Engineer Location: Milton Keynes, MK Salary: £35,(Apply online only)–£40,(Apply online only) pro rata, depending on experience Hours: Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 Contract: 6 Months, with possible extension Working: Hybrid / Remote considered Join an exciting specialist engineering business We’re looking for an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join a growing engineering business in Milton Keynes, working on the design and development of bespoke industrial X-ray systems, enclosures and multi-axis manipulators. This is a great opportunity for a practical design engineer who enjoys working across projects and collaborating with production, electrical and installation teams. The Role You’ll be responsible for: Designing and producing detailed drawings for mechanical parts and assemblies. Creating and maintaining Bills of Materials (BOMs). Using SolidWorks 3D CAD to develop and modify designs. Working closely with electrical designers and other engineering teams. Supporting Project, Production and Installation teams throughout the project lifecycle. Helping deliver high-quality designs that meet customer and project requirements. About You We’re looking for someone with solid practical experience in engineering design and project work. You’ll ideally have: Strong mechanical engineering design experience. Excellent 3D CAD skills, particularly SolidWorks. Good knowledge of engineering drawings and assemblies. Strong MS Office skills, particularly Word and Excel. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. A genuine pride in producing accurate, high-quality work. Desirable: Experience within NDT/X-ray, automation, software or electrical engineering environments.
