At DHU Healthcare, every role matters. Because every moment gives us the chance to make the difference – for patients, colleagues and communities. Wherever you join us, your compassion, commitment and skills will not only make all the difference in the moment today but also shape the care we deliver tomorrow.

With us, care never stops

At DHU Healthcare, our Urgent and Emergency Care teams work on the frontline of the NHS, delivering expert, compassionate care 24/7, 365 days a year. From Emergency Departments and Urgent Treatment Centres to GP surgeries and communities across the East Midlands and beyond, we’re there when people need us most. Our teams of skilled medical, nursing, allied health, and support professionals all work together to respond quickly and effectively to every patient. We deliver a wide range of services including community nursing, urgent treatment, primary care streaming, urgent on-day primary care, GP home visiting, phlebotomy, community hospital medical cover, telephone consultation support, and palliative care home visiting. With us, you’ll be supported to succeed – in your role, your development, and your career.

As a Community Staff Nurse, you’ll:

  • Be part of a caring, supportive night team making a real difference in patients’ homes.
  • Assess and deliver safe, compassionate care to people with urgent and palliative needs.
  • Use your clinical skills and judgement to make confident decisions overnight.
  • Work autonomously while knowing you’re backed by an experienced multidisciplinary team.
  • Support and guide colleagues, helping everyone learn and grow together.
  • Take pride in delivering high-quality, person-centred care when it matters most.

We offer a benefits package with your health, happiness and future in mind. You’ll have access to the NHS pension scheme (and we’ll honour your existing NHS pension pot and holiday entitlement if you’re transferring), free secure parking at most sites, birthday leave, and our Health Cash Plan for you and your family – covering dental, optical, therapy costs, and 24/7 GP access after six months. Plus, there’s wellbeing perks, flexible working, a salary sacrifice Car Lease Scheme with low-emission options, enhanced maternity and paternity leave, and a rewarding referral programme. It’s our way of saying thank you.

With us, development is part of our culture. From essential training and apprenticeships to supportive leadership and career pathways, we’ll help you grow in ways that matter to you. Because when our people thrive, so do our patients and communities.

We believe that when everyone feels valued, respected and supported, we can deliver the best care. We’re proud to reflect the rich diversity of the communities we serve, welcoming colleagues from all backgrounds. We proudly support Veterans, Service Leavers, Reservists, Cadet Volunteers, and military families, valuing their strength and dedication.

At DHU Healthcare, you’ll find a welcoming, supportive environment with wellbeing support, flexible options and career growth. Your career and contribution really matter – for you, for them, with us.

Apply today and start shaping the future of care.
