The Governors of Somerville Federation would like to appoint a Catering Manager from 1st October 2026 or as soon as possible after this date. This is a permanent role following a successful probationary period.
We are looking for a highly motivated person with strong organisational and people skills to manage a busy school catering facility. Somerville Primary has invested heavily in a good facility to produce and serve fresh, wholesome, and exciting food for our pupils.
As a team leader with motivational flair, you will be a Hands On leader and have very good organisational skills to enable you and your team to provide a fresh, child friendly lunch service. You will complete the daily production requirements and lead the team in assisting with preparation and service of the lunch. A commitment to maintaining high standards of service, food quality and hygiene is essential.
Ideally you should have 3 years supervisory experience within a catering environment and hold City & Guilds, HND, NEBSS or similar qualification in catering.
