About the role
The working hours for this role are expected to be Monday to Friday, 08:40 - 12:10, totalling 17.5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The start date for this role is 15 October 2026 or as soon as possible.
Bellefield C of E Primary & Nursery is seeking to appoint a highly committed and enthusiastic Named Pupil Teaching Assistant to join their team on a temporary basis. As a member of staff within our Trust, you will contribute to a collaborative working environment and play a key role in supporting the learning and development of all pupils.
As a Named Pupil Teaching Assistant, you will provide dedicated one-to-one support to a student, helping them access learning, participate fully in school life and achieve their individual potential. You will work closely with teachers and the SEND team to adapt learning activities and ensure the student is fully engaged across a range of curriculum subjects. A key part of the role will involve promoting independence, confidence and resilience whilst providing the appropriate level of support to meet the student's needs. You will help to develop positive behaviour, support emotional wellbeing and encourage strong relationships with peers and staff. Working alongside classroom teachers, you will monitor progress, provide valuable feedback and contribute to interventions that enhance learning and personal development. You will build positive partnerships with parents, colleagues and external professionals, playing an important role in reviewing and planning support for the student. Above all, you will be committed to safeguarding, inclusion and ensuring every young person has the opportunity to thrive and succeed.
