About the role
Graduate Project Procurement Co-ordinator
What do we want to achieve?
Do you have a degree and an interest in procurement, supply chain, project management and commercial operations?
As a Graduate Project Procurement Co-ordinator, you will join TKMS ATLAS UK’s procurement and supply chain team, supporting the delivery of projects and helping to ensure an effective and reliable supply chain is in place. You will be offered a permanent role from day one and join our structured 2-year Graduate Scheme, giving you the opportunity to develop your procurement and project management skills while gaining hands-on experience within a leading maritime technology business.
The team works closely with suppliers, project teams and internal stakeholders to manage supply chain activities, mitigate commercial and delivery risks and ensure suppliers are able to support the successful delivery of customer projects. As a Graduate Project Procurement Co-ordinator, you will play an important role in supporting projects from bidding through to delivery, while developing your understanding of procurement, subcontract management and commercial processes.
You will report to a Team Leader and work closely with colleagues across procurement, supply chain, project management and the wider business. You will also be supported by experienced mentors and a dedicated graduate buddy throughout your development.
What will you be doing?
This is a varied role that will give you exposure to the full supply chain and procurement lifecycle, while allowing you to develop your commercial, project management and stakeholder management skills.
Key responsibilities may include:
- Supporting the management of subcontract and supply chain activities across allocated projects and bids.
- Assisting with the preparation, negotiation and implementation of supplier and subcontractor agreements.
- Supporting the ongoing management and monitoring of supplier performance, pricing, delivery and contractual requirements.
- Helping to identify, assess and manage supply chain and subcontractor risks.
- Supporting the end-to-end supply chain process during bidding activities.
- Assisting with the coordination and management of changes across subcontract agreements.
- Supporting project reporting, including subcontract status, risks and supplier performance.
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to provide a high-quality supply chain service.
- Supporting the development of long-term strategic relationships with key suppliers and stakeholders.
- Helping to improve supply chain performance and maturity across TKMS ATLAS UK.
You will work in a dynamic and collaborative environment, balancing competing project requirements and working across different departments. As your knowledge and experience develop, you will take on increasing responsibility and ownership for your allocated tasks and areas of the supply chain.
What does our target candidate look like?
We are looking for graduates who are organised, commercially aware and motivated to build a career within procurement, supply chain or project management.
You will ideally have:
- A degree-level qualification in any relevant discipline.
- An interest in procurement, supply chain, commercial operations and/or project management.
- A willingness to work towards a CIPS qualification.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to build relationships with colleagues, suppliers and external stakeholders.
- The ability to prioritise your workload, manage competing requirements and meet deadlines.
- A proactive approach, with the initiative to identify problems, take ownership and contribute to continuous improvement.
A Project Management qualification would be desirable but is not essential.
You will be professional, flexible, reliable and proactive, with the motivation to learn and develop your commercial and procurement knowledge. You should be comfortable working as part of a team while also being able to take ownership of your own tasks.
