As the authority responsible for generating the Royal Navy’s operational capability, Director Force Generation ensures ships, submarines, aviation, commando forces, supporting elements achieve the required levels of readiness. By balancing capability, risk, and operational demand, the directorate provides assured force output and acts as the Fleet’s scheduling authority, ensuring the Royal Navy can deliver whenever and wherever required.
You will be based at RNAS Culdrose, a front-line Air Station delivering Squadrons and personnel for operations worldwide. Working in the SMEO department, which provides engineering support to RNAS Culdrose and associated ships. As an electrical fitter, you’ll be working on ground power support units (GPSUs) and hydraulic rigs along with associated aircraft support equipment to keep the Royal Navy flying.
This position is advertised at 37 hours per week. Requests to work flexibly and/or part time will be considered, taking into account business needs.

This role will initially require the post holder to undertake a period of on-the-job training and full support will be provided. You will become familiar with systems and procedures and build competence in specific aspects of the role and environment.
