We are recruiting an experienced Customs Account Manager to join a friendly, established business in Chelmsford. This is a varied role combining customs, import and export administration with customer account management, offering the opportunity to develop your commercial and key account experience.

The Role

• Prepare and check customs documentation for EU, Northern Ireland and international shipments
• Manage import and export requirements and customs declarations
• Work with commodity and HS codes, customs valuation and country of origin
• Liaise with freight forwarders, couriers, customs agents and transport companies
• Manage customer orders from placement through to delivery
• Manage designated key accounts including orders, stock, shipments, pricing and returns
• Support the External Sales Team
• Maintain accurate customs, customer and supplier records

About You

You will need previous experience within customs, imports or exports, with a good working knowledge of customs procedures and international shipments. You will be confident managing customer relationships, highly organised and have excellent attention to detail.

Own transport is essential due to the location.
