About the role
A warm and supportive nursery in Nuneaton seeks an experienced Nursery Assistant for a part‑time role. You provide calm, nurturing support that helps young children feel safe, settled and ready to explore. Moreover, you bring confident SEND experience and adapt activities for children with varied needs. In addition, you work closely with practitioners to deliver consistent routines that promote independence, communication and early development.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide early years support across daily routines
- Deliver small‑group activities that build early skills
- Offer 1:1 SEND support when children need extra guidance
- Use clear EYFS routines to support regulation and confidence
- Prepare adapted learning tasks for children with additional needs
- Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
- Work closely with nursery practitioners and SEND staff to maintain consistent provision
What We’re Looking For
- Experienced Nursery Assistant with strong SEND knowledge
- Confidence supporting children with communication needs, ASD or developmental delays
- Ideally qualified in early years or childcare
- Clear communication and a warm, nurturing approach
- Ability to follow structured routines and maintain consistency
- Part‑time availability
- Interest in Nuneaton‑based early years roles
