Year 3 Teaching Assistant (Full Time)

Zest Education are seeking a dedicated, enthusiastic, and caring Year 3 Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school in Sutton Coldfield. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children’s learning and development and helping pupils achieve their full potential.

Working closely with the Year 3 class teacher, you will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in delivering high-quality teaching and learning activities.
• Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning and boost attainment.
• Assist in the preparation of classroom resources and learning materials.
• Support children with varying learning needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote the school’s values.
• Assist in monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teaching staff.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, break times, educational visits, and other school activities as required.

The Successful Candidate Will Have

• Experience of working with primary-aged children, preferably within a school setting.
• A positive, patient, and nurturing approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
• Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential for candidates with suitable experience.
