The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant Neurologist to support a service in East of England.

This opportunity offers a 3-month locum contract, starting ASAP, within a Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00 shift pattern. This is an on-site only position with no on-call commitments, providing structured and consistent work within a hospital environment.

The role includes 7 clinical sessions and 3 administrative sessions per week. Clinical activity will consist of a blend of face-to-face outpatient clinics and virtual triage of the existing waiting list, helping to deliver timely, effective neurological care while supporting service efficiency.

You will be working alongside established clinical teams, supporting day-to-day service delivery and contributing to safe, effective patient care.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality care within your scope of practice in a Neurology environment
• Conduct face-to-face outpatient clinics for new and follow-up patients
• Undertake virtual triage of existing waiting lists to support patient management
• Manage a combination of approximately 4 to 5 outpatient clinics and 2 to 3 virtual triage sessions per week
• Work collaboratively with consultants, nurses, AHPs, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain clear, accurate, and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Identify and escalate clinical concerns appropriately
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and well-functioning clinical environment

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• Consultant-level experience in Neurology
• Relevant recent UK experience within the NHS
• Experience working within outpatient services
• Ability to work both independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and professionalism
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
