We are supporting a listed, international organisation with the appointment of an experienced Interim Finance Transformation Director to shape and mobilise a significant, CFO-sponsored transformation of its global Finance function.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this is a high-profile assignment with a clear value-creation mandate. The successful individual will initially lead the diagnostic and design phase: defining the case for change, developing the future Finance operating model and AI/digital roadmap, and building a robust business case for Executive and Board approval. The expectation is then to move rapidly into mobilisation and early delivery.

The transformation will span operating model, process standardisation, shared services/location strategy, ERP optimisation, data and reporting, automation and the practical application of AI within Finance.

We are particularly interested in individuals who can demonstrate:

• Leadership of large-scale Finance transformation within a listed or similarly complex international organisation.
• The credibility to work directly with a Group CFO, Executive Leadership Team and Board.
• A strong track record of developing Board-level transformation business cases, including quantified benefits, investment, phasing, risks and implementation plans.
• Significant experience designing and implementing Finance target operating models, including process standardisation, shared services/GBS, centres of excellence and location strategy.
• Practical understanding of AI, automation, ERP-enabled transformation, data and reporting, rather than technology transformation in isolation.
• Experience leading transformation across multiple countries, legal entities and stakeholder groups.
• Evidence of translating strategy into mobilisation and measurable delivery, balancing cost reduction with service, control and business insight.
• Strong change leadership skills and the ability to navigate complex and potentially politically sensitive international environments.

This is not a programme-management role. We are looking for someone who can operate credibly at Board level whilst remaining sufficiently hands-on to diagnose the opportunity, make clear recommendations and establish the programme for delivery.
