A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Chef de Partie to join the kitchen team at a beautiful country pub located in the Sussex countryside, close to Horsham.

The pub has a strong reputation for quality food, with a seasonal menu built around fresh, locally sourced ingredients and a relaxed but high-quality dining experience.

The successful Chef de Partie will join a team of four chefs, working in a busy kitchen serving approximately 70 covers indoors and up to 120 covers outdoors during the warmer months.

The Role

The Chef de Partie will be responsible for running their section to a high standard, preparing fresh ingredients and producing consistently well-presented dishes throughout service.

The role would suit a chef who enjoys working with fresh, seasonal produce and takes pride in the quality of their food.

Pastry experience would be highly advantageous, although chefs with strong all-round Chef de Partie experience are encouraged to apply.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef ready to progress
• Good knowledge of fresh food and seasonal ingredients
• Pastry experience would be a real advantage
• Able to work confidently as part of a small, busy kitchen team
• Strong standards of food preparation, presentation and hygiene
• Reliable, organised and able to remain calm during busy services
• A genuine passion for producing quality food
