Food Production Operative

Thorn Baker Industrial Recruitment are looking for an experienced Food Production/Bakery Operatives to join a leading food manufacturing company based in Leicestershire

This role will be working directly with our client on a temp to perm contract

The Job:

• Working as a Bakery Operative which means you could be working or trained to work in several areas of their factory
• This can include: mixing and baking cakes, icing cakes and packing the finished products
• Other duties can include:
  • Follow work instructions to ensure all cakes meet our quality standards
  • Follow the production plan
  • Follow Team Leader/ Manager instructions
  • Minimise waste whilst working
  • Follow H&S guidance
  • Report near misses
  • Follow Good Manufacturing Processes
  • Paperwork completion
  • Clean as you go
• There are 2 shifts available based on where needed
• Monday to Friday 6am-3pm
• Monday to Friday 8am-5pm
• Both are 40 hours per week with overtime available when production is very busy and applies after 40 hours

• You will start on National Living Wage but once trained, you will receive an uplift in hourly salary

The person:

• Knowledge of the food industry would be an advantage, but not mandatory
• Positive, flexible and can-do attitude
• Hard working
• All training will be provided
• Have access to transport as there are no public transport for the early shift start times
