Behaviour Mentor

A supportive mainstream school in Rugby seeks a confident Behaviour Mentor for a full‑time role, Monday to Friday. You provide calm, structured support for pupils who need clear routines and consistent guidance. Moreover, you bring strong SEND and behaviour management experience, helping pupils feel safe, regulated and ready to learn. In addition, you work closely with teachers and pastoral staff to deliver targeted strategies that promote positive behaviour throughout the school day.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver behaviour support for pupils needing consistent guidance
• Use clear routines to reduce anxiety and promote stability
• Provide 1:1 and small‑group interventions that build confidence and self‑regulation
• Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
• Prepare adapted tasks for pupils needing extra help
• Work closely with teachers, pastoral leads and the SENCO to maintain consistent provision
• Build strong relationships with pupils, families and staff

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Behaviour Mentor or relevant behaviour‑focused qualification
• Strong experience supporting pupils with SEND and behavioural needs
• Clear communication and a calm, patient approach
• Ability to maintain consistency and follow structured routines
• Full‑time Monday to Friday availability
• Interest in Rugby‑based behaviour roles
