About the role

A welcoming mainstream primary school in Willenhall, Coventry seeks a confident Year 1 Teacher for a full‑time role. You deliver clear, structured lessons that help pupils feel settled, motivated and ready to progress. Moreover, you bring strong SEND experience and adapt tasks to support pupils with varied needs. In addition, you use calm routines that promote independence, positive behaviour and secure early‑curriculum development.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Year 1 lessons that build secure early‑curriculum knowledge
  • Deliver phonics and early literacy through clear routines
  • Use structured classroom routines to support regulation and confidence
  • Prepare adapted learning tasks for pupils needing extra help
  • Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
  • Work closely with teaching assistants and the SENCO to maintain consistent provision
  • Track pupil progress and adjust teaching when needed

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified KS1 Teacher with QTS
  • Strong SEND experience, including ASD, ADHD or communication needs
  • Confidence teaching in EYFS and Year 1
  • Clear communication and a warm, nurturing approach
  • Ability to maintain consistent routines and support emotional regulation
  • Full‑time availability
  • Interest in Coventry‑based roles
