Management Accountant

Jackson Hogg is supporting a fantastic organisation based in Washington on the appointment of a Management Accountant.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced finance team, taking ownership of key balance sheet areas while supporting the delivery of high-quality management information, budgeting and forecasting. Working closely with senior finance stakeholders, you'll play a key role in driving process improvements, strengthening controls and providing meaningful insight to support business performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and investigate complex balances
• Post accruals, prepayments and month-end journals
• Produce management information and departmental reporting
• Partner with budget holders to analyse costs and explain variances
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Contribute to monthly management accounts and reporting packs
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation
• Support ad-hoc projects and wider finance initiatives
• Provide guidance and support to junior team members

About You

• Previous management accounting experience within a fast-paced environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Confident challenging assumptions and interpreting financial data
• Advanced Excel skills with experience of ERP systems advantageous
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
• Proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset
