SummaryWe’re looking for an experienced Construction / Site Manager to join a major UK nuclear programme in Cumbria. This role is ideal for someone who’s passionate about delivering safe, compliant projects in a highly regulated environment. Location and Working PatternMajor nuclear site in Cumbria. Initial contract position with a genuine opportunity to transition into a permanent role. On-site working required due to the nature of the project.

Responsibilities
Oversee on-site activities for your assigned work scope, ensuring compliance with agreed plans and safety standards
Implement and maintain risk assessments and safe systems of work
Monitor safety performance and support emergency arrangement processes
Keep safety-related documentation current and accurate
Communicate safety expectations and updates effectively to the workforce
Report, record and investigate events in line with company and statutory requirements
Ensure workforce training requirements are identified and completed
Seek specialist advice where required to maintain compliance and safety
Must-have Requirements
Relevant Competency Card such as CSCS, ECS or ACE
SMSTS preferred or an accepted equivalent, IOSH Managing Safely, NEBOSH.
Strong knowledge of site safety responsibilities and risk management processes
Ability to engage confidently with the workforce and promote a positive safety culture
Proven experience delivering construction projects in a highly regulated sector
Nice-to-have Skills
Previous experience within the nuclear industry or another regulated environment
Additional safety or leadership accreditations
