Public Convenience Cleaner – AR

Job Purpose

We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Public Convenience Cleaner to carry out the regular cleaning and maintenance of public conveniences and other buildings across Cheshire East.

You will be responsible for ensuring facilities are kept clean, hygienic, safe and well stocked, meeting agreed cleaning standards and frequencies.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain public convenience facilities to a high standard.
• Thoroughly clean toilets, urinals, wash-hand basins, sinks, mirrors, floors, walls, cubicles and surrounding areas.
• Replenish consumables, including toilet rolls, soap and paper towels.
• Remove graffiti where required.
• Ensure all cleaning duties are completed in line with agreed specifications and standards.
• Take responsibility for managing your own workload and use initiative when carrying out duties.
• Complete relevant documentation, including timesheets, consumable orders and Health & Safety records.
• Communicate professionally with members of the public, colleagues and other stakeholders.
• Respond appropriately to customer or client complaints and provide a high level of customer service.
• Ensure all work is completed efficiently and economically.
• Follow all relevant Health & Safety legislation, company policies and safe working procedures.
• Work at different locations across Cheshire East as required to meet service needs.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous cleaning experience, preferably within a public, commercial or high-traffic environment.
• Experience cleaning washrooms, toilets or similar facilities.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and Health & Safety requirements.
• The ability to work independently and manage their own workload.
• Good attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high cleaning standards.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• A reliable, flexible and hardworking approach.
• The ability to travel to different locations across Cheshire East when required.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining clean, safe and hygienic public facilities.
