We are recruiting for an experienced Shift Electrician to join a large, well-established manufacturing company based in Inverness. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled electrical maintenance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced industrial environment and takes pride in keeping production running efficiently and safely.

Working as part of a dedicated engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across a large manufacturing plant, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum operational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and repair electrical breakdowns throughout the manufacturing facility
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities
• Diagnose faults and implement effective solutions to minimise production disruption
• Maintain and improve electrical control systems and plant equipment
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with company procedures and legislation
• Work collaboratively with production and engineering teams to support operational efficiency
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and increased reliability

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Electrician with City & Guilds qualifications or above
• Proven industrial electrical maintenance experience within a manufacturing, production, or processing environment
• Knowledge ofPLC systems, ideally:
  • Allen Bradley 5/40
  • Siemens Step 5
• Ability to fault-find and troubleshoot electrical equipment effectively
• Capable of working independently and making sound decisions under pressure
• Strong commitment to health and safety standards
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment
