Y4/5 Teaching Assistant

Provide Education are currently recruiting for a Primary Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Scunthorpe (DN9) from September.

The role will involve supporting pupils in Year 4/5, working alongside the class teacher and helping pupils with their day-to-day learning. The school has a friendly and supportive team and is looking for someone who is reliable, approachable and enjoys working with children.

This would suit someone who already has experience working with children and is looking to build on their experience within a school environment.

The role will include:

• Supporting pupils with their work in class
• Working with pupils on a 1:1 and small-group basis
• Helping the teacher with lessons and classroom activities
• Encouraging pupils to take part in their learning
• Supporting pupils with their behaviour and development
• Helping pupils who may need some extra support
• Working as part of the wider school team

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience working with children or young people
• Has previous school experience, ideally within a primary setting
• Has a good understanding of the KS2 curriculum
• Is patient, friendly and supportive
• Has good communication skills
• Can work well with teachers and other members of staff
• Is committed to supporting children’s wellbeing and development
• Has an Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or is willing to apply for one

The position offers:

• £95–£115 per day, depending on experience
• Weekly PAYE pay
• Full-time, long-term work
• September start
• Access to CPD and training
• Ongoing support from your dedicated consultant
• £150 refer a friend scheme (T&Cs apply)
