HR Summer Internship

The Human Resources (HR) department plays an important role in supporting Mizuho and its people across the business, working closely with colleagues across the organisation to attract, develop and support employees throughout their careers.

What will I be doing?

Over 10 weeks, you’ll gain hands-on experience within the HR department, working alongside experienced professionals and gaining exposure to the different areas of HR.

You’ll be placed within one of our four HR pillars, whilst gaining exposure to all four throughout your internship. You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Gain exposure to HR Business Partnering, supporting HR teams in working with different areas of the organisation
• Learn about Talent and Inclusion, including recruitment, talent development and employee engagement
• Gain insight into Reward and Regulatory, including benefits, reward frameworks and HR-related regulatory requirements
• Gain experience across HR Operations and Payroll, supporting the processes that underpin the employee experience
• Support HR projects and initiatives that contribute to Mizuho’s people and wider business objectives

Throughout the programme, you’ll gain a broad understanding of how HR supports employees and the wider business, whilst developing your organisational, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.

What are we looking for?

We’re looking for curious, organised and motivated individuals who are keen to learn about Human Resources within an international financial services environment.

You should:

• Be in your penultimate year of study, with an expected graduation in 2028 (please ensure this is clearly stated on your CV and updated on your GRB profile).
• Available to complete the 10-week internship starting in June 2027.
• Be available for full-time employment from September 2028.
• Have a genuine interest in Human Resources and working with people.
