Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting on behalf of our client for a confident and commercially driven Sales Executive to join a growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced sales, account management or customer service professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities and working with customers across a global market.

You'll manage inbound and outbound enquiries, develop new business opportunities, nurture existing customer relationships and manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to completion and after-sales support.

The role would suit someone who is competitive, proactive and confident dealing with customers at all levels.

Key Duties
  • Manage inbound and outbound sales calls, responding professionally to customer enquiries.
  • Manage and follow up on leads generated by the company's lead generation team.
  • Proactively generate your own leads and new business opportunities, building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline.
  • Identify new customers and develop long-term relationships with existing accounts.
  • Understand customer requirements and provide suitable solutions relating to machinery and equipment.
  • Manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to successful completion.
  • Conduct price negotiations and work to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Proactively follow up with prospective customers to convert enquiries into sales.
  • Manage sales transactions, including ensuring invoices are paid and providing effective after-sales support.
  • Work closely with Finance, Logistics and Project Management teams to ensure a smooth customer journey.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, opportunities and sales activity.
  • Use LinkedIn and other digital platforms to identify key decision-makers and develop new commercial relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and customers across international markets.
Requirements
  • At least two years' experience in a sales, account management or customer service environment.
  • Ideally experienced within the manufacturing industry, with knowledge of laboratory equipment, machinery or technical products.
  • Laboratory equipment experience.
  • Commercially minded, competitive and confident in your approach.
  • Comfortable working independently and able to use your own initiative.
  • Confident communicator with an excellent telephone manner.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders at all levels, including CEOs, engineers and technical specialists.
  • Highly organised, proactive and motivated by achieving results.
  • Strong team player who is comfortable working with colleagues and customers globally.
  • Confident using LinkedIn and other platforms to identify prospects and develop business relationships.
  • Multilingual communication skills would be advantageous due to the company's diverse international customer base.
