About the role

Role Introduction

At Leeds Community Healthcare, we are seeking a Principal Data Developer to help shape and strengthen our use of data across the organisation. The role will focus on the oversight and enhancement of national data flows, driving improvements in data quality and compliance with national standards, and supporting the successful delivery of projects involving data driven applications and digital transformation initiatives.

You will work with a range of stakeholders to ensure data is trusted, accessible and effectively used to support decision-making, service improvement and patient outcomes. This role offers flexible and remote working arrangements with fortnightly or monthly face to face meetings. Knowledge of NHS data standards, national collections and healthcare information systems would be advantageous.

In addition to the brief list below, it is essential to familiarise yourself with the full job description and person specification attached to this advert prior to applying.

You will work closely with colleagues across Business Intelligence, Digital and Information teams to support the delivery, monitoring and continuous improvement of national data flows and reporting processes. The role will be responsible for ensuring data submitted to national collections is accurate, complete and timely, while identifying opportunities to improve data quality, consistency and compliance with national standards.

You will provide specialist technical expertise to projects involving data-driven applications and digital solutions, supporting the development, implementation and enhancement of systems that enable effective use of organisational data. Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders, IT teams and external suppliers, you will develop and maintain data integrations, investigate complex data issues and contribute to the design of efficient data processes.

Through technical leadership and a commitment to continuous improvement, you will help maximise the value of the organisation's data assets, supporting informed decision-making, service improvement and better patient outcomes.

The role is a Fixed Term/Secondment – 12-month contract (with the possibility of a 3-month extension).
