The Opportunity

We are currently seeking ST3+ Obstetrics & Gynaecology Doctors to support services in South West, within the Women & Child Health Directorate.

This opportunity offers a variety of long day, twilight and resident night on-call shifts across an ongoing locum placement from August to October 2026. It is well suited to experienced Obstetrics & Gynaecology clinicians who are confident managing acute workloads and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient care within a busy NHS setting.

You will be working alongside established multidisciplinary teams, supporting both obstetric and gynaecology services while maintaining excellent clinical standards and patient outcomes.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality Obstetrics & Gynaecology care within an NHS hospital setting.
• Support labour ward, maternity, gynaecology and emergency services as required.
• Assess, investigate and manage patients in line with local and national clinical guidelines.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, midwives, nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to safe and effective service delivery across day, twilight and on-call shifts.
• Maintain accurate, timely and professional clinical documentation using EPIC systems.
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and ensure patient safety remains paramount.
• Support continuity of care through effective communication and handover processes.

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration.
• ST3+ Obstetrics & Gynaecology experience.
• Recent NHS experience within Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Mandatory EPIC training.
• Valid Certificate of Eligibility for Short-Term Locums (CEL) | RCOG (mandatory).
• Ability to work independently and as part of an established multidisciplinary team.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication skills and professionalism.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
