The Opportunity
We are supporting an NHS Trust in the East of England with the appointment of a Locum Consultant Breast Radiologist.
This is an excellent opportunity for a suitably qualified Consultant Breast Radiologist to join an established NHS Breast Radiology service and provide high-quality specialist diagnostic imaging services.
The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, supporting the Trust's breast imaging workload and contributing to the delivery of safe, efficient and patient-centred diagnostic services.

The Role
The successful candidate will provide Consultant-level Breast Radiology services within the Trust.
The role will include:
- Providing Consultant-level specialist breast imaging services
- Reporting and interpreting appropriate breast imaging examinations
- Supporting the day-to-day delivery of the Breast Radiology service
- Providing specialist radiological advice to referring clinicians
- Contributing to multidisciplinary breast team meetings and clinical discussions
- Ensuring accurate and timely reporting of breast imaging studies
- Supporting patient-centred diagnostic pathways
- Maintaining high standards of clinical governance and patient safety
- Contributing to service improvement activities where required
- Supporting junior medical staff and colleagues where appropriate
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements
- Full GMC registration with licence to practise
- Entry on the GMC Specialist Register in Clinical Radiology, or relevant experience for a locum appointment
- Previous NHS Consultant Radiologist experience
- Strong experience in Breast Radiology and breast imaging
- Ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Excellent clinical decision-making and communication skills
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centred diagnostic services
- Availability to work 40 hours / 10 PAs per week
Desirable Requirements
- Previous experience working within an NHS Breast Radiology department
- Experience across a broad range of breast imaging modalities
- Experience participating in multidisciplinary breast team meetings
- Experience in clinical audit, governance or service improvement
- Teaching and supervision experience
