The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an Elderly Care Consultant to support services in the South West of England.
This opportunity offers a long-term locum contract with regular weekday day shifts from September to December 2026, providing structured and consistent work within a busy hospital environment. This role is ideal for consultants experienced in Elderly Care who are confident managing complex medical patients and supporting multidisciplinary teams in delivering high-quality care.
You will be working alongside established clinical teams within the Elderly Care department, contributing to safe, effective, and patient-centred care.

What You'll Be Doing
- Deliver high-quality consultant-led care within an Elderly Care setting
- Assess, diagnose, and manage patients with complex acute and chronic medical conditions
- Support ward rounds, MDT meetings, discharge planning, and service delivery
- Work collaboratively with junior doctors, nursing teams, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
- Provide senior clinical decision-making and leadership within the department
- Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and efficient clinical environment
What We're Looking For
- Active GMC registration
- Entry on the Specialist Register or eligibility for Consultant-level practice
- Relevant recent NHS experience within Elderly Care/Geriatric Medicine
- Strong clinical judgement, communication, and leadership skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
