The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant Haematologist to support a service in the East of England region.

This locum opportunity offers a long-term contract from ASAP to 26 February 2027, with some on-call and weekend commitments required. The exact rota is to be confirmed.

This role is ideal for an experienced consultant with MRCPath and CCT in Haematology, who is confident working within a busy cancer and haematology service while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

You will be joining an established multidisciplinary team, supporting service delivery across inpatient and outpatient haematology settings.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality consultant-led haematology care across the service
• Manage patients with a broad range of benign and malignant haematological conditions
• Participate in ward rounds, outpatient clinics, MDT meetings, and inpatient reviews
• Support cancer services and contribute to efficient patient management pathways
• Work collaboratively with consultants, specialist nurses, pharmacists, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Participate in the on-call rota and provide senior clinical support as required
• Contribute to maintaining a safe, effective, and well-functioning clinical environment

What We're Looking For

• Active GMC registration
• MRCPath and CCT in Haematology
• Recent UK NHS consultant experience within Haematology
• Strong clinical judgement, communication, and leadership skills
• Ability to work independently and within an established multidisciplinary team
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
