The Opportunity

We are currently seeking a Consultant Gynaecologist to support the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Department in the West Midlands within the Women and Children's Division.

This opportunity offers a locum contract for an experienced consultant with expertise in urgent and suspected cancer pathways, post-menopausal bleeding, general gynaecology, and acute gynaecology services.

You will be joining an established clinical team, supporting the delivery of high-quality specialist care while contributing to safe, effective, and patient-centred service provision within a busy hospital environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver high-quality consultant-led care across gynaecology services.
• Support urgent and suspected cancer pathways in line with national and local guidelines.
• Assess and manage patients presenting with post-menopausal bleeding and acute gynaecological conditions.
• Contribute to outpatient, inpatient, and multidisciplinary team care as required.
• Work collaboratively with consultants, junior doctors, nurses, and allied healthcare professionals.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation using Electronic Patient Records (EPR).
• Participate in service improvement initiatives and support safe, effective patient care.
• Ensure compliance with Trust policies, professional standards, and clinical governance requirements.

What We're Looking For

• Full GMC registration with a licence to practise.
• Consultant-level experience in Obstetrics & Gynaecology.
• Expertise in urgent and suspected cancer pathways.
• Experience managing post-menopausal bleeding, general gynaecology, and acute gynaecology presentations.
• Electronic Patient Records (EPR) training completed (mandatory).
• Excellent communication and multidisciplinary teamworking skills.
• Relevant recent NHS experience.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
