About the role
Location: Greenville, South Carolina
On-Site: 5 days a week
Hourly Rate: $51/hour + Benefits
Job Type: 1 Year Contract

Projects: Combustions & Emissions
Interview: Combustion design will require in person interviews for each candidate – this takes about 4 hours.
Responsibilities and tasks will vary based on project and scope but is expected to include the following:
- Design – Component modification ownership including: Review of sourcing and supplier quotes for proposed cost reduction modifications, development of cost paredo models using apriori or similar tools, mechanical design of hardware, model/drawing definition, creation of PLM BoMs and change instructions, hardware procurement and manufacturing plus assembly support. Work with PDE drafting, sourcing, AME manufacturing, aero engineers, heat transfer, MPE materials, repair engineering and value engineering teams. Interface directly with GE suppliers to review cost reduction ideas, cost impact and manufacturability limits.
- Manufacturing – shop support/interface for dispositioning non-conformances, process supplier qualifications, review SDRs, follow modified parts into final assembly and fleet launch.
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Must Have
The following tools are expected to be used as part of the work scope
- NX (modeling: Mechanical and Routing module)
- PMI (Product Manufacturing Information)/Drafting
- PLM
- Drafting standard, GD&T and fundamental stack ups
- Ansys Classic
Nice To Have
- Familiarity with design, analysis, and manufacturing of gas turbine combustion components like fuel nozzles, endcover, casings, caps, liners, transition pieces, flow sleeves, TP aft frames, crossfire tubes.
- Familiarity with design practices, lifing methods and tools.
