The Opportunity

We are currently seeking 2 Consultant Haematologists to support a service in the North West.

These opportunities offer ongoing locum contracts within established haematology services, providing a mixture of outpatient clinics, MDT participation, administration, laboratory work, and on-call responsibilities. Candidates will have the option of choosing between two available job plans to best suit their experience and preferred working pattern.

You will be working alongside established multidisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of high-quality haematology care while contributing to safe and effective patient management.

Please note: Consultants will be expected to remain on-site for the entirety of their scheduled shifts.

• Monday, Tuesday & Thursday: New Patient Clinics, Review Clinics, MDT and Admin
• Wednesday: 09:00–17:00 On-Call / Administration / Laboratory Work
• Friday: Review Clinics and Administration

What You'll Be Doing

• Deliver consultant-level haematology care across outpatient and review clinics
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and service discussions
• Manage new patient and follow-up appointments within dedicated clinic sessions
• Support on-call haematology services where required
• Undertake administrative and clinical governance responsibilities
• Work collaboratively with laboratory teams and wider hospital departments
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards
• Contribute to safe, effective, and patient-centred service delivery

What We're Looking For

• Full GMC Registration with a licence to practise
• Entry on the GMC Specialist Register for Haematology (or eligibility equivalent)
• Relevant recent UK NHS Consultant Haematology experience
• Strong clinical, diagnostic, and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship)
