The Opportunity

We are currently seeking an experienced General Medicine doctor at ST3+ level to support an NHS Community Hospital in the South West.

This opportunity offers a three-month locum contract with an immediate start and the potential for extension. The role is based within a community hospital, working Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00, making it ideal for doctors seeking a regular weekday commitment with no on-call or weekend requirements.

You will work alongside Consultants, Specialty Doctors and multidisciplinary teams, supporting the delivery of safe, effective medical care for adult patients within the community hospital setting.

What You'll Be Doing

• Support the General Medicine service within an NHS Community Hospital.
• Assess, diagnose and manage adult medical patients.
• Work collaboratively with Consultants, Nursing staff and the wider multidisciplinary team.
• Participate in daily ward rounds and patient reviews.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in line with NHS standards.
• Escalate clinical concerns appropriately and contribute to safe, effective patient care.
• Support efficient day-to-day service delivery across the department.

What We're Looking For

• Full GMC registration with licence to practise.
• Relevant recent UK General Medicine experience at ST3+ level or equivalent.
• Strong clinical judgement, communication and multidisciplinary working skills.
• Ability to work independently within a busy NHS medical service.
• Valid Right to Work in the UK (please note we do not offer visa sponsorship).
